Terms of Use (EULA)

By downloading or using Veil ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License

You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on any Apple device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

2. Your content and responsibility

You are solely responsible for the photos, videos, files, and any content you store in or access through the app, and for complying with all applicable laws.
Because the app is a private, on-device vault, we cannot recover your passcode or your files. If you forget your passcode, uninstall the app, reset the app, or lose your device, your stored content may be permanently lost. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.

3. Veil+ subscriptions and purchases

Veil+ is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (weekly or yearly) and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Titles, lengths, and prices are shown on the paywall inside the app.
The yearly subscription may include a 7-day free trial where offered. If you buy during a free trial, the unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device Settings, under Apple ID and Subscriptions, after purchase.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or to store or distribute content that is illegal. The built-in browser is provided for your convenience. You are responsible for the websites you visit and the content you access.

5. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of access, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
